Bugs and Flowers, oh my!

Well I dragged out my old 35mm today and I am not sure if I am satisfied with the results or not. This camera has been through a lot with me and I have really done some great shots with it. But after seeing a DSLR I just can't seem to get over how great the colors are with it. I have a 70-300mm lens on it and I just can't tell if I like the colors and what not. I am hoping to start my new job in the next couple of weeks and after that I may just break down and get a DSLR. Thinking about the Nikon D90 with a 18-105mm and a 70-300mm lens. I am also looking at a macro lens from Sigma that cost about half the amount of the Nikkor lens. Will have to see how the money pans out, but I will end up with a DSLR one day! Out of this set, I have to say that I like the tulips the best.

Sunday Stills - The Color Red

This is a banner that hangs up at my future University, Wittenberg.

Well this weeks challenge was the color red. When I went out it seemed like everywhere I looked there was something red! I had a hard time choosing just one so I ended up with six different photos! Believe me I have tons more! LOL These are all new photos this week, no archives!!!!! Thanks for looking and good luck to all this week!
Here's the blurb for this week's challenge:
"Sunday Stills the next Challenge: The Color Red

Some great shots I got on Sunday...

I was at my grandparents on Sunday and I took a lot of photos but these are some of the better ones. It was hard choosing which ones to put here and which ones to put on my other blog. So go see my other blog if you want to see some more! Or visit my facebook and myspace accounts to see them all!

Sunday Stills - Animal Husbandry

Well sorry guys but I haven't had time to go out and look for animals of husbandry round here in the city!!!! LOL But I didn't want to miss another Sunday Stills so here is some I pulled from the archives.
This is my fathers horse Dynamite, with his mother Dixie, when he was born in Sept 2003. The last picture was taken in June 2005. Sadly my dad got rid of this beautiful horse, but he has a very good owner so we are okay with it.
Here's the blurb for this weeks challenge:
"This will be easy for most but a challenge for some of us…:-) For a real challenge how about 3 or more animals in the pic?? Or 2 or more different animals in the pic??
Have fun…Ed"

In response to Ed's response. I didn't even think to put this in! Sorry! My father has actually had several of these color horses come out of Dixie. He now has the newest addition, Sunny and the one before him, a female and I can't remember her name, in his possession.

Actually this horse is the color called Cremello. Here's a definition. Cremello is a horse coat color consisting of a cream colored body with a cream or white mane and tail. It occurs when a horse is homozygous for a dilution gene sometimes called the cream gene acting on a red (chestnut) base coat. Such horses have pink skin, blue eyes, and are a light cream or gold color when born, but sometimes fade to almost white as an adult.
He's beautiful isn't he?

Wait five minutes...

Well the old adage is true "If you wait five minutes the weather will change." This top picture was taken mere hours ago before I left for school.
Not just five minutes ago this storm is rolling in and this is what we get! Lightening and thunder oh, my!!!

Beautiful though.

Ah, the beautiful colors of spring...

If you look closely you can see the half moon above the trees.

I was sitting outside reading my history chapter and couldn't get over how beautiful the sky looked. So I ran inside and got my camera and snapped about fifty shots and these are the three that turned out the best! Just love the color.
