Sunday Stills - Frame It

Well Yes I realize that I have not done this is quite a while but I am back! And what better way to come back than to see my mother's garden frog! It is so darn cute surrounded by the stems of water plants and such! Come see :D I hope all you photographers are having a blast doing this! So I will try to participate as much as possible! :D

Good luck Linda with your ideas for future Sunday Stills!

Sunday Stills-The Next Challenge-Frame It
Ed’s taking a break from posting challenges for a while so I’m taking a shot at it. He’s done an amazing job with close to 150 posts since the beginning way back in December of 2008. Thanks for that Ed.
For this next challenge I want you to take a photo that is “framed” by something. For example you might use some tree branches to frame the moon or a window to frame a child. Use your imagination and thanks in advance for participating!
HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!!!

Don’t forget to check out Wildblack’s photoshop tutorials on tuesday at http://wollreflections.wordpress.com/ they are easy and very fun..:-)
Lisa at Laughing Orca Ranch had a great idea, If you don’t have Halloween or don’t go for it, just post a scary thing or something Black or Orange..:-))"

Sunday Stills - A Collage of The last Five Sunday Stills

Oh wow, I finally got the dang thang to work!!!! HAHAHA. This was driving me crazy!

Well sorry I haven’t been around! I have been doing a lot of school work and work! :} I have been taking the pictures though! And I had to create a new blog earlier for this post but I finally got it working, so here it is! So here is my collection of Sunday Stills for the past five challenges! The Color Purple, The Signs of Fall, Happiness, Photoshop, and all of these are brought to you by the lastest challenge, the Letter “C”!!!!Have a great day!

Here's the blurb for this weeks challenge

"Sunday Stills, the next challenge: The Letter “C”Posted in Sunday Stills, the next challenge with tags Sunday Stills Challenge on October 11, 2009 by Ed
So whatever you can find that begins with the letter C, either a thing or a situation will do. This should keep ya busy for the week..:-))"

Sunday Stills - Mechanical Transportation

Well the first three are my favorite transportation device, my Honda CRV! Then the others are from my trip to Ireland in 2008. The MrWhippy actually was a art and music van! They had music blasting from the tons of speakers they had inside it!

Here's the blurb:

"Sunday Stills, the next challenge: Mechanical Transportation
Well here it is, if it runs on fuel and can take two or more passengers lets see what ya’ll can come up with..:-)"

Sunday Stills - The Rule of Thirds

Well I don't really know that I have this challenge down, but here is what I got. Let me know what you think!

Here's the blurb:

"Sunday Stills, the next challenge: Rule of thirds
As any good photographer can tell you the subject, unless macro should be in the top or bottom third of your viewfinder or the right or left third. so this weeks challenge is to use the rule of thirds. Any subject will do, just make sure it is either in the top or bottom or left or right of the picture.
Example: if shooting the sky have the horizon at the bottom of the pic, if shooting a horse pic have it off to the right or left with a pasture filling the screen. It just takes practice since we all tend to center the subject.
Have a great week…Ed"

Sunday Stills - Sounds

Here's the blurb:

"Sunday Stills, the next challenge: SoundsPosted in Sunday Stills Challenge of the Week with tags Sunday Stills, the next challenge on August 23, 2009 by Ed
Yep you read right Sounds, it was once said a picture is worth a thousand words, well I believe its the same with sound.
So this weeks challenge is to take a pic that without description( no captions) conveys sound. It should be a pic that if you look at it you should hear whats going on. Here’s an example, the roaring of the water, the scream of a first time Kayaker going over Baby Falls."

Macro Monday

Here's my first Macro Monday!

Sunday Stills - Aww Nuts

So this is my Aww Nuts moment! I decided to go with the expression "Aww Nuts!" for this one!

There is a story behind this and I don't know if ya'll will find it funny but to us it was hilarious! This is my wonderful friend Terri. We went to her house for a cookout and of course, being the wonderful person that I am, I decided it would be funny to pour a whole glass of ice water down her back while she was otherwise occupied. Upon doing this she lets out this half scream/half sound that only dogs can hear and goes for the water hose she had been trying to roll up. Being the coward that I am, naturally, I run into the house laughing my butt off! After a few moments in the house laughing I decided it was safe and I went back outside to see her trying to roll up the hose again, only to have it go crazy and spray her in the face! So needless to say "Aww Nuts!" So this is my interpretation of the Aww Nuts for this weeks challenge! Terri my life would be dull without you!!!! :}

Here's the blurb:

"Sunday Stills, the next challenge: Aww Nuts!Posted in 1, Sunday Stills Challenge of the Week, the next challenge with tags Sunday Stills Challenge on July 12, 2009 by Ed

Time for a bit of fun, this is for creativity as well as photography, take this challenge as you will and have fun.
Since we have alot of folks in ranching here I think we may see some fuzzy subjects, so be it and if anyone is offended I advise ya don’t check ranch blogs next week . Me personally, I don’t mind and am not easily offended.
Also I would like to personally welcome all the new folks here, we are truely going global and this has me in awe, only last December we started this with only a handfull of folks and now well it is a true community and I’m proud to be part of it. THANKS!!!!!!
Hava great week……Ed"
